Please read these terms carefully before booking any of our domestic cleaning or gardening services. By engaging Apex Gardening & Cleaning Services, you agree to the terms set out below.
Welcome to Apex Gardening & Cleaning Services. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the supply of domestic cleaning, housekeeping, gardening and horticultural services to private households across England. By requesting a quote, making a booking, or accepting a service from us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("the Client", "you") and Apex Gardening & Cleaning Services ("Apex", "we", "us", "our"). They apply to all enquiries, quotes, bookings and services we provide.
If any part of these Terms conflicts with anything written on a quote, invoice or other communication, the Terms set out on this page take precedence unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Apex provides the following services to private homes in England:
Important: We do not provide commercial cleaning, office cleaning, retail premises cleaning, or commercial landscaping services. Our insurance covers domestic households only.
All bookings are made via phone, email, or our online enquiry form. After receiving your details, we will provide a written quote based on the information you supply.
If you book on behalf of another person (for example, a parent or relative), you confirm that you have their authority to do so and to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Our prices reflect the scope of work, time required, distance to your property, and any specialist materials. All prices include VAT where applicable.
If you dispute any part of an invoice, please raise it with us in writing within 7 days of the invoice date.
To enable us to deliver the agreed services safely and on time, you agree to provide:
If we are unable to access the property at the agreed time and have not received reasonable notice, a missed-visit fee equivalent to 50% of the booked service may apply.
We offer a flexible setup. You may choose either:
Specialist materials (for example, particular fertilisers, plants, or branded cleaning products) may be quoted separately and charged at cost plus a reasonable handling fee, agreed in advance.
We understand that plans change. To keep things fair for everyone, we ask the following:
We may need to reschedule visits in cases of severe weather, staff illness, or events outside our reasonable control. We will give you as much notice as possible and offer the next available slot.
Apex holds public liability insurance covering our domestic cleaning and gardening operations across England. Cover applies to private households only.
Domestic cover only. Our insurance does not extend to commercial premises, offices, retail or hospitality settings, or commercial landscaping. We will not undertake work outside the scope of our cover.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the relevant booked service or the limit of our insurance cover, whichever is the lower. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.
We take great care in every home we work in. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong:
We will not be liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, items declared to be of fragile or unusual value that were not pointed out before the visit, or outcomes caused by client-supplied equipment or products.
Complaints: if you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us promptly. We will acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 working days.
Our team is trained to work safely and respectfully. In return, we ask the following of all clients:
If at any point we judge that conditions are unsafe to continue work, we may stop and reschedule. The full booked fee may still apply where the unsafe condition was not disclosed in advance.
We collect and hold personal information (such as your name, address, contact details, and service history) solely to provide our services and to communicate with you. We do not sell your data to third parties.
For full details on how we collect, use, store and protect personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.
These Terms and any agreement between you and Apex are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under English law.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or insurance. The most recent version will always be available on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
If you have an active recurring booking with us, we will give you reasonable notice of any material changes that affect your service.
If you have any questions about these Terms, our services, or anything else, please get in touch. Our friendly team is happy to help.
If anything in these Terms is unclear, or if you'd like to discuss a booking, our team will be happy to explain in plain English.
